Meet Our Dream Team
As well as our team of drivers, there's a few people that really make 'E' coaches the company it is today.
Founded in 1970 by Eric Bacon, it is today a third generation, family run business and we're very proud of that. These days the company is in the hand of Eric's son, Keiron as well as Keiron's son, Connor.
Keiron Bacon
Keiron joined his father Eric in the family business way back in 1989. He took ownership of the business in 1996 and has been the proud guardian of 'E' Coaches ever since.
Keiron continues to run the business day to day as our transport manager, working full time alongside the third generation in the form of his son Connor. Keiron is responsible for all of our in house maintenance as we proudly own and maintain our own fleet of vehicles.
When he's not completing all the paperwork that comes with the business, in his down time, Keiron has multiple hobbies including dog walking, bird twitching and jigsaws. You can often find him scrambling to find where the pieces fit and of course he's done more than a few bus related jigsaws!
Keiron also loves a bit of DIY as well as weekends away with his wife Claire.
Keirons favourite destination to visit in the UK is Robins Hood Bay because it is peaceful and reflective.
He of course loves spending time with his wife Claire as well as his sons Connor and Oliver.
Connor Bacon
The third generation, Connor trained as a mechanic upon leaving school and proudly joined the family business in August 2020.
Connor is now our trained manager, focusing on our private hire and day trips and has a keen interest in carrying the business forward for another 50 years.
Connor is likely the face you will meet as your private hire driver and is always happy to assist with any queries you may have and always likes to make sure our customers have a smile on their face as our feedback forms confirm!
Connor has a keen interest in following his favourite football team, Derby County and tries to never miss a game. He's also partial to a game of snooker as well as watching it where he can. He also loves socialising with old and new friends.
Connors favourite destination in the UK is Liverpool for it's rich history, night life and as a shopping haven.
Claire Bacon
Claire married Keiron in 2008 and joined the business as a driver - Claire typically drives our mini bus as well as the 33/36 seaters.
Claire loves to be in the heart of the action when it comes to meeting new people and never turns down a social ocassion.
Claire also has 2 pet dogs so of course loves getting out and about and walking. It's not surpising to learn that she has similar hobbies to Keiron, the two of them can often be found with a pair of binoculous trying to spot nature. She can often be spotted in the garden in all weathers and her garden is her pride and joy.
Claire also loves Whitby with long walks along the beaches and of course the world famous Magpie restaurant for the fish pie.
Gary Bausor
Gary joined 'E' Coaches over a decade ago and is our superstar maintenance technician and driver.
Gary loves to get out and about and be at one with nature, he loves bird twitching, DIY and fishing and genuinely appreciating the world around him. The ideal attribute for a coach driver we're sure you'll agree.
Gary loves Southern France and often spends time there with his partner Karen, exploring everything the area has to offer as well as sampling the wares of a few of the local vineyards!
Ian Holmes
Ian is one of our drivers having joined us over 3 years ago. Ian can often be found on one of our school transport routes or the community Tesco transport.
Ian loves spending time with his granddaughter as well as getting out and about for long walks in his downtime.
Find any place with a beach and Ian is happy. He also loves Newcastle for all that the city has to offer.
Oliver Bacon
Oliver is the newest member to the team after joining us at the start of 2024.
Oliver is Keiron's other son and Connors younger brother, he is currently working with us in the garage learning the mechanic trade and helping out with day to day jobs around the yard and you might see him also joining Connor on one of our Day Trips or weekends away. He is also currently going through his driver training so you will hopefully soon see him on the road.
Oliver like his brother has a keen interest in following his favourite football team Derby County and goes to as many games as he can with Connor. Oliver is also part of a new pool team that play on a Thursday evening with Connor and tries to make everyone believe he's better than his brother.
